Katy Perry was born with the name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on October 25, 1984 in California, USA. Katy decided to use her maiden name due to pass for the same worry with actress Kate Hudson.
Since little Katy was used to 'consume' gospel music. He often participated in activities in the church choir. Before deciding to move to Los Angeles, Katy really did get off one album, entitled Katy Hudson, through the label Red Hill Records.
When 18-year-old, Katy decided to move to Los Angeles and had joined the team The Matrix. Along with Glen Ballard, he had recorded three songs that led to the title of The Next Big Thing given Blender magazine in October 2004. One of the songs recorded with Ballard eventually released as the soundtrack for the movie The Sisterhood OF THE TRAVELING PANTS.
After a long time 'falling-up', luck finally arrived. In early 2007 Jason Flom, CEO of Virgin Records, offered a recording contract under Capitol Records. From this was born the contract recording the album ONE OF THE BOYS, which was launched in mid-July 2008.
